Young Weavers

We had the pleasure to host a workshop for 8 students from Academy Charter. The kids chose to participate in an “Intensive” called Fur, Fins, and Fiber. Over the last two weeks they visited different local businesses and farms. In the workshop they learned about the process of getting the wool from sheep to scarf, we had a small trivia section, and then the kids got to take turns weaving.

What a joy to see kids so excited to be creating. Weaving is one of the world’s crafts and to see it still exciting people and kids in particular today is amazing.
